Disclaimer & Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 September 2026 · Applies to Rivosnap(the “Service”)

Development notice. Rivosnap is pre-release software under active development. Features, data formats, and this document may change at any time. Do not rely on the Service for production, confidential, or business-critical work, and keep your own copies of anything you value.

1.About this document

This page sets out the terms on which you may use Rivosnap, together with the disclaimer that applies to everything it produces and our privacy practices (collectively, the “Terms”). By accessing or using the Service you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Where you submit information through the Service — creating an account, joining the waitlist, or sending feedback — you also consent to that information being processed as described below.

2.What Rivosnap is

Rivosnap is a browser-based CAD-style planner for bathrooms and room layouts. You draw a floor plan in 2D, place fixtures, preview the result in 3D, compose sheets, and export PDFs. Signing in adds cloud saves so projects follow you between devices. Optional AI features can suggest layouts, answer questions about a design, and generate or enhance visuals.

3.Using the service

Your licence to use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Rivosnap for your own personal or internal business design work. No other right or licence is granted, by implication or otherwise.

Acceptable use

You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:

  • use the Service in a way that breaks any applicable law or regulation;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, database, API endpoint, or system connected to the Service, or probe or test its security without our prior written permission;
  • interfere with the Service’s integrity or performance, including by introducing malware, scraping or harvesting beyond ordinary search-engine indexing, circumventing rate limits, or placing unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
  • use the AI features to generate unlawful, infringing, or abusive content, or to run bulk or automated requests that shift our third-party model costs onto us;
  • impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or body;
  • remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notice; or
  • share your account credentials, or let anyone else use your account.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access, block addresses, apply rate limits, or remove content at our discretion — with or without notice — where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the Service and its users. You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time.

4.Your projects and content

You own your designs

The room layouts, dimensions, fixture arrangements, sheet compositions, and exports you create are yours. We claim no ownership of them.

The licence you give us

To run the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, render, and process your project data — and, when you trigger an AI feature, to send the relevant part of it to the model provider — solely to provide the Service to you, to keep it secure, and to diagnose faults. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups until they age out.

What not to put in a project

Do not upload personal data about other people beyond what a design needs, and do not store confidential, regulated, or business-critical material in Rivosnapwhile it is pre-release. You are responsible for having the right to use anything you upload, including images.

Backups are your responsibility

Keep independent copies of any work you value, including exported PDFs. We do not guarantee that stored work will be preserved.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions, bug reports, or feature ideas, we may use them without restriction, attribution, or any obligation to you.

5.Intellectual property and reservation of rights

RIVOSNAP, including its name, logo, wordmark, user interface, interaction and drafting model, sheet and export system, component and fixture catalogue, source code, documentation, and artwork (together, the “Materials”), is our exclusive property and is protected by copyright, trade mark, design, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. All rights are expressly reserved.

Except where mandatory law says otherwise, you must not:

  • copy, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, frame, mirror, or otherwise commercially exploit the Materials or any part of them;
  • imitate, clone, or build a derivative or competing product from the look, feel, concept, architecture, or functionality of Rivosnap;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise try to derive the source code or trade secrets behind the Service; or
  • use our name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.

Access to the Service transfers no ownership in the Materials to you. We will enforce these rights to the fullest extent available in law and in equity.

6.Disclaimer

Not professional advice

Rivosnap is a drafting and visualisation tool. The floor plans, 3D previews, dimensions, fixture placements, and PDF exports it produces are design aids, not construction documents, and they are not architectural, structural, plumbing, electrical, engineering, or building-code advice. Nothing produced by the Service has been reviewed or certified by a licensed professional.

Verify before you build

Always have plans checked by a qualified architect, engineer, or contractor, and verify every measurement on site, before ordering materials, committing to a supplier, or starting work. Measurements shown in the editor and in exports may be rounded, scaled, or affected by unit conversion, and they do not account for wall build-ups, tolerances, services, or site conditions. You are solely responsible for confirming that any design complies with the building regulations, standards, and permits that apply where you are.

No professional relationship

Using the Service, or corresponding with us about it, does not create a client, advisory, fiduciary, or agency relationship between you and RIVOSNAP.

AI-generated content

Some features — layout suggestions, the assistant, and generated or enhanced visuals — use third-party AI models. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or physically unbuildable, and generated images are illustrative impressions rather than accurate representations of a real space or product. Treat all AI output as a starting point and review it yourself. AI features are opt-in per action: nothing from your design is sent to a model provider unless you trigger one.

Third-party products and marks

Product names, fixtures, and brands referenced in the catalogue belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. Dimensions and specifications shown for such items are indicative — confirm them against the manufacturer’s own documentation before purchase. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party site we link to.

7.Availability, warranties and liability

Provided as is

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that results will be accurate, or that stored work will never be lost. Features may change or be withdrawn as development continues.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RIVOSNAP and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for construction costs, rework, delays, lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, or lost data, arising out of or in connection with your use of — or inability to use — the Service or anything it produces, even if we were advised such loss was possible. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold RIVOSNAP harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, the content you upload, or your infringement of any law or third-party right.

Events outside our control

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, and failures of hosting, database, or AI providers.

Time limit on claims

Any claim arising out of or relating to the Service must be brought within one (1) year of the date it arose, except where a longer period is required by mandatory law.

8.Information we process

  • Account details. Your email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider — we never see it), and any display name or avatar you set.
  • Waitlist details. If you join the waitlist: your name, email address, and any phone number, company, role, or intended use you choose to give.
  • Your project data. The room layouts, dimensions, fixtures, sheet compositions, project names, and thumbnails you create and save.
  • AI feature inputs. When you use an AI feature: your prompt, the relevant part of the design, and — for image features — the view being enhanced.
  • Usage analytics. Product events, pages viewed, approximate device and browser information, and a pseudonymous identifier. Authentication tokens and recovery codes are stripped from URLs before any event is recorded.
  • Operational data. Your IP address, request metadata, rate-limit outcomes, and server error logs, used to keep the Service running and to prevent abuse.

We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, government identifiers, payment card data, or health data through the Service.

9.Cookies and browser storage

The Service uses cookies and browser storage that are necessary for it to work. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking storage.

  • Session cookies set by our authentication provider keep you signed in.
  • Local storage holds your theme choice, in-progress sheet compositions and visual views for the open project, tutorial progress, and one-time interface hints — so unsaved work survives a reload.
  • Analytics storage holds a pseudonymous identifier used to count sessions and product events.

You can clear this at any time through your browser’s site-data settings. Doing so signs you out and discards unsaved local editor state; projects already saved to your account are unaffected. Blocking storage entirely may stop parts of the editor working.

10.How we use information

To run the Service and sign you in; to save and load your projects; to generate the AI output you ask for; to send transactional email (waitlist confirmations, password resets, and replies to feedback you send us); to protect the Service against abuse; to diagnose faults; to understand which features are used so we can improve them; and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a stated legal basis for each purpose, ours are:

Waitlist signup and transactional emailConsent, and performance of our agreement
Security, rate limiting, and abuse preventionOur legitimate interest in a working, safe service

11.Sharing and third parties

We share data only as far as running the Service needs. Each provider acts on our instructions and handles only what its function requires:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and storage for your account and projects.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — serving the application and its API.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • PostHog — product analytics, served through a first-party path on this domain.
  • AI model providers (currently OpenAI and Black Forest Labs) — generating the output you ask an AI feature for.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims or to protect the Service and its users. If the business is reorganised, merged, or acquired, data may transfer as part of that transaction; these Terms will continue to apply to it. A list of current providers is available on request.

12.Where data is stored

Our providers operate globally, so your data may be stored or processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. Where personal data moves across borders we rely on the safeguards permitted by applicable law — such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses — through our agreements with those providers.

13.Retention

  • Account and project data — kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Waitlist entries — kept until the waitlist closes, or until you ask us to remove yours.
  • Analytics and server logs— retained on a rolling basis in line with our providers’ retention settings, then deleted or anonymised.

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it removes your projects, your profile, and your login. Backups and analytics records already written may persist briefly before they age out. We may keep anonymised or aggregated data indefinitely.

14.Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored with row-level access rules so that projects are readable only by the account that owns them. Access to operational systems is restricted, and API routes apply validation and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and the Service is still in development — if you believe your account has been compromised, tell us immediately. Where a breach is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and any regulator as the law requires.

15.Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, export it, delete it, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent you have given (without affecting processing already carried out). You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

You can exercise several of these yourself: update your profile in Settings, export any project as a PDF, and delete your account and its data from Settings. For anything else, get in touch with us — we may need to verify your identity first, and we aim to respond within the time your local law allows. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Some regions add specifics. In the EEA and UK you may object to processing we base on legitimate interests. In California, you may ask what categories of personal information we collect and request deletion or correction; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. In India, you may raise a grievance about our handling of your data and we will work to resolve it within the statutory timeline.

16.Children

Rivosnap is aimed at professional and adult users and is not directed at children under 16, or under the age of digital consent where that is higher. We do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

17.General provisions

  • Entire agreement. These Terms cover your use of the Service and replace any earlier understanding on that subject.
  • Severability. If any part is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a provision once does not waive our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. We may assign these Terms in connection with a reorganisation, merger, or sale of assets; you may not assign them without our written consent.
  • Electronic communications. You agree to receive notices from us electronically, and that these satisfy any legal requirement for writing.
  • Language. These Terms are written in English; any translation is for convenience only and the English version prevails.
  • Not legal advice. This document explains our practices. It is not legal advice to you.

18.Changes to this document

We may update this page as the product develops. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version, and continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept it. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
